Jefferson Avenue Phase 3 Backed Up Until Wednesday Due to Rain

Due to the rain and wet pavement, the contractor is unable to seal the crosswalks, seal the pavement joints and pour sidewalk today.

As a result, the changeover on Jefferson Avenue from Phase 2 to Phase 3 will now be Wednesday, August 28, rather than Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the contractor will open Jefferson between Banker Street and 5th Street including the 5th Street intersection (Phase 2) and close Jefferson Avenue from 5th Street to 4th Street, including the Jefferson and 4th intersection (Phase 3). 4th Street will be closed at the intersection with Jefferson Avenue. Sidewalks along Jefferson Avenue and around the 4th Street intersection will remain open utilizing temporary ramps and crosswalks.

City Parking Lot 7 at the corner of Jefferson and 4th Street will have a temporary exit onto 4th Street during Phase 3.
