Three pickup trucks were involved in a crash at 1:30 Thursday afternoon in Richland County. One of the drivers was killed.

State police say the crash occurred on Illinois Route 130, just north of East Liberty Lane.

One of the pickup trucks, driven by 81-year-old Jesse Bromm of Olney, was southbound when it crossed the centerline and sideswiped a pickup driven by 43-year-old William Haley of West Liberty, then sideswiped a pickup driven by 53-year-old Doug Giles of Teutopolis. Both the Bromm and Giles pickup trucks ended up in the ditch.

Bromm was killed in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Richland County Coroner's Office personnel.

Giles and two of his passengers, 32-year-old Joseph Sowell of Greenup and 24-year-old Payton Bushue of Effingham, were cited for not wearing their seat belts.

There's no information from State Police as to whether anyone else involved in the crash was injured or taken for treatment.
