Stewardson-Strasburg school board members Wednesday discussed baseball and softball matters.

The Board approved a softball parking lot project. The plan is to use leftover rock from the concrete driveway project earlier this year to construct a parking lot on the north side of the softball field.

Meanwhile, the Board tabled discussion on the baseball diamond projects; however, District officials pointed out they will play baseball at Stew-Stras this fall as indicated on the schedules.

The Board voted to approved a tentative budget for the new fiscal year. Board members will vote on adopting the budget at their meeting on September 25.

In personnel moves, the Stew-Stras board approved the hiring of Lisa Harris for a junior high Special Education position, hired Kimber Jackson as a cafeteria cook, and approved the hiring of Hilary Conder as one-on-one Special Education aide.
