Two vehicles collided on US Route 40 Sunday night.

The crash happened at 7:51pm, just east of 600th Street in Jackson Township.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reported an eastbound vehicle driven by 30-year-old Crystal Kraemer of Vandalia crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Danielle Pagel of Altamont. The Kraemer vehicle spun around and ran off the south side of the highway. Pagel's vehicle continued west and came to rest on the north shoulder of the highway.

Pagel was injured and was transported to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Kraemer was cited for improper lane usage.
