The Teutopolis Board of Education has put its search for a superintendent on hold.

(DEBORAH PHILPOT)

At Thursday's special meeting, the Board decided to renew their search later in the fall, with timelines to be announced at a later date.

The District has decided to continue utilizing Deborah Philpot as their interim superintendent during the 2019-2020 school term. Philpot is a retired superintendent whose career spanned 35 years in education with her final 12 years as Superintendent of the St. Elmo School District.

The District's search for a superintendent is a result of the resignation of Bill Fritcher, who accepted the superintendent's position in the Neoga school district.
