An Effingham woman was injured in a crash in Jasper County Thursday morning.

Illinois State Police report the crash occurred in a rural area, a half-mile south of Rose Hill at 8:58am.

The report indicates a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Tiffany Parr-Helm of Effingham was northbound when Parr-Helm lost control of the car. Police say she attempted to regain control and overcorrected. The car ran off the roadway to the right, ended up in a ditch, and overturned onto its side.

Parr-Helm was injured and was airlifted from the scene for treatment.

Parr-Helm was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash and failure to wear a seat belt.
