A Decatur man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in a Shelby County drug case.

Forty-eight year-old Jarrod Dyke was sentenced for methamphetamine possession, to which he pleaded guilty.

Shelby County State's Attorney Gina Vonderheide said a Cowden police officer stopped Dyke in May for speeding and asked him if there was anything illegal in his vehicle. Dyke admitted there was a substantial amount of methamphetamine in the vehicle, so the officer seized the drugs. The meth was found in baggies that weighed 41 grams.
