Kentucky Man Accused of Attempted Murder of Kinmundy Woman

A Henderson, Kentucky man is in custody in Kentucky after being accused of attempting to kill a Kinmundy woman who is reportedly his ex-girlfriend.

37-year-old Jacob Roderick is also accused of poisoning the woman's dog and stealing some of her clothing from her home in Kinmundy.

Kentucky authorities are accusing Roderick of traveling from Henderson to the woman's residence to commit the offenses.

Kentucky police began investigating Roderick after hearing from the Marion County, Illinois, Sheriff's Department. Authorities allege the actions by Roderick occurred in late April.

When Kentucky authorities attemped to arrest Roderick at the motel where he lived, he allegedly started fighting. He's been charged with assaulting a police officer.
