Altamont School Board Deals w/Personnel

Altamont school board members took action on a number of personnel matters at their monthly meeting.

The Board approved Dan Koester to a fulltime groundskeeper/floater position. It was agreed to post for two part-time summer help positions. The Board approved Lindsay VanBlaricum as assistant high school softball coach. They also renewed the PEL contract of Brittany Painter.

Board members approved employment of Courtnie Mullen as District Technology Coordinator for next year, succeeding the retiring Charlie Niehaus, and accepted Mullen's resignation as high school assistant soccer coach. The Board accepted the resignation of Laura Smith as junior high cheer sponsor, and approved Jared Nelson as volunteer assistant junior high track coach. Also approved were James Strange as high school golf coach, Logan Hill as high school boys frosh/soph basketball coach, and Laura Smith as high school dance coach and sponsor. Wesley Woodard was hired as high school Spanish teacher, and Natalie Schafer was approved as a teacher assistant.

Altamont board members approved seeking bids for a swingset project; approved next year's school calendar; and approved a junior high track co-op between Altamont Grade School and Altamont Lutheran Interparish School for the next five school years.

The Board also recognized Jared Kollman, Paula Holland and Emma Kuhns for receiving State FFA degrees.
