Brownstown Board Hires Personnel for New School Year

Brownstown school board members have hired staff for the coming school year.

Non-tenured teachers employed were Patricia Booher, Kayla Carson, Amy Disch, Savanah Feezel, Christa Malone, Lori Mette, Emily Miller, Rebecca Nail, Morgan Pals, Kelsey Seidel, Jessica Sefton, Kayla Hingson, Kimberly Splechter and Jordyn Sussenbach.

Non-certified personnel employed are custodians Evelyn Wells and Jodi Winkler; Maintenance and Custodian Steve Waltrip; Cooks Alyssa Tompkins, Diane Smith and Nikki Sidwell; Secretaries Brittany Rigdon and Shelly Thomason; Teacher Aides Verla Reed, Stacy Sidwell, Brenda Wilson, Stacey Summers, Whitney Roberts and Deidre Murray; Bus Drivers Paul Parkison, David Portz, Sam Kistler and Richard Cade; Nurse Shannon Zerrusen; District Bookkeeper/Secretary/Treasurer Jacy Schaub; and District Transportation Secretary Deb Hunter.

Brand Koonce was employed as Maintenance/Custodian/Groundskeeper for the coming year; Abby Fryer and Krista Kline were approved as volunteer junior high track coaches; and the Board accepted a letter of intent to retire from Diana Smith at the end of this school year.

The Brownstown board approved membership in the IHSA for the coming year; renewed its intergovernmental agreement in the SEPCO purchasing group for the coming year; and approved policy changes for first reading.
