2019 Election Day is Tuesday

Tuesday is Election Day, and many things are to be decided.

Voters will consider school board members, community college trustees and park district trustees, as well as candidates for municipal offices. In some communities like Effingham and Altamont, a mayor will be elected along with four city commissioners.

Voters in Effingham County and Fayette County will be deciding whether to enact a sales tax that would help finance new construction or renovation of school buildings in those counties.

Polls will be open Tuesday from 6am to 7pm. We will be live at the Effingham County Office Building, sharing the results as they become available on 979XFM, and online at 979xfm.com and kjcountry.com. We will also have results from area counties.
