Gun owners headed to the Illinois state capitol Wednesday to try to convince lawmakers to rethink a number of bills that they say go too far.

A spokesperson for IllinoisCarry.com said Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s decision to sign the Gun Dealer Licensing Act as his first bill was the beginning of a wave of attacks against gun owners.

Following a program at the Bank of Springfield Center, a few blocks from the capitol, attendees marched through downtown Springfield and down Capitol Avenue for a rally at the state capitol building.

State Representative Darren Bailey (R-Louisville) was one of those who spoke to the crowd. Bailey said he would oppose any laws that he thinks compromise Americans' 2nd Amendment rights.
