Constituents of the 55th Senate District will have additional access to services as State Senator Dale Righter (R-Mattoon) has opened a second District office in Olney.

“I’m excited to announce that we are up and running at our second district office, bringing increased access to constituent services to the Southern part of the district,” said Righter. “The doors are open to the public, and I would encourage anyone with questions, concerns or comments to take advantage of this new facility.”

The Olney office is located at 219 E. Main Street, Suite 1. For more information or set up an appointment call 618-392-0055 or e-mail sen.rightersofficeolney@frontier.com.

Operations will continue at Senator Righter’s existing District office in Mattoon, located at 88 Broadway, Suite 1.

The Olney office is open Monday through Wednesday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., excluding days where the Olney office will be going mobile for Traveling Office Hours.

In addition to services being offered in the Olney office, Senator Righter is offering Traveling Office Hours in Fairfield and Lawrenceville for the remainder of the year. Residents can visit the Fairfield City Hall on the second Tuesday of each month or the Lawrenceville City Hall on the fourth Tuesday of each month to speak with District staff. Constituents are welcome between 9 and 11:30 a.m. on those days to ask questions, provide input and speak with staff.

“These events are about providing greater access to services available for constituents and also allow for my office to hear from those in the 55th District,” said Righter. “I fill a seat in the Senate to be an advocate for the people in our communities, and any feedback I receive helps me to be a stronger voice for our students, residents and businesses.”
