Teutopolis village board members reviewed an inspection report at their recent meeting on the current village hall.

Teutopolis Village Clerk Sharon Will said the study indicated that the structural condition of the hall along Main Street is such that "it's not going to fall down in the next few weeks", but that the building needs attention. The village board has been putting money aside for several years in preparation for constructing a village hall, but there have been some objections to a new building.

Citizens had suggested sharing the building that now houses the village fire station, but a conversation with fire officials indicated that the fire department is already utilizing most of that structure.

The question of whether to move forward with completing drawings and bid specs for a new village hall was tabled until the Board's first meeting in March.

The village board approved a fund transfer to pay infrastructure bills, purchased a printer and agreed to raise the rent on the incubator site to cover increased operating costs.
