(KEN VOGT)

We may be dealing with wintry weather, but April 15th will be here before we know it.

That made the February 20 presentation by local CPA Ken Vogt to Effingham Noon Rotarians timely.

Vogt, a Noon Rotarian, shared about charitable giving, and how it can impact your tax bill. Specifically, Vogt spoke about the state legislation that makes it more advantageous to target giving to non-public schools. The giving helps lower-income families afford tuition at non-public schools, but also provides tax benefits to the donors.

Vogt is a Noon Rotarian. Greg Fearday served as Rotary weekly program chairman.

The Noon Rotary student guest was Ben Strullmyer, son of Kurt and Lisa Strullmyer and a senior at St. Anthony High School.
