Teutopolis village board members reviewed infrastructure projects underway in the village at this week's meeting.

The Board approved payments to Connor and Connor Engineers and to Feutz Contractors for work on the Farmweld Street project directly west of the business. The Board also paid Kieffer Brothers Construction for work on the Runde sewer extension project.

It was also agreed to pass an ordinance vacating an undeveloped portion of Herin Street from Vine to Oak Streets.

The Board agreed to have Jansen Computers upgrade the firewall hardware and renew a three-year security subscription for the computer in the village hall, and also agreed to transfer funds from the TIF account to the village's general fund for reimbursement of administrative costs for the West Main Street Tax Increment Financing District.

Village board members also agreed to endorse the 1% sales tax increase being sought by the Teutopolis School District and other districts in the county. The proceeds could be used for new construction and maintenance of school buildings. The 1% sales tax question will be on the April election ballot in the county. The measure has to pass countywide to be approved.
