The regional WYSE (Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering) Academic Challenge was held at Lake Land College Friday. Twenty-five high schools came together to battle in biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering graphics, English, mathematics and physics.

Each high school competed against other high schools in the same division, which is based on school enrollment, and an award ceremony followed. Students advancing at the regional competition will compete at Eastern Illinois University on March 7.
