The Effingham Noon Rotary Club meeting January 9 featured music and culture as the theme.

Weekly program chairman Rich Jorn brought along Bill Poss, Garrett Burris and Andrew Evans. They represent Poss Music Works, a not-for-profit group committed to bringing and fostering music and culture in this area. Some of their ventures are Moccasin Creek Festival, Summer Sundown Festival, and the Wander Down Festival at Makanda in the Shawnee National Forest. They also promote the Ada Kepley Music Series aimed at boosting female performers. Among future events: an air music festival.
