Cumberland school board members heard at this month's meeting about a new group formed at the grade school.

Stefani Robinson explained about The Kindness Ambassadors. Robinson said the students have been working to extend compassionate culture and positivity throughout the school.

The Board heard from Tanner Krumwiede, the district's athletic trainer, who thanked them for the opportunity to work with the district's athletes. This will be Krumwiede's final year at Cumberland as he will move on to continue his career in athletic training.

Kendall Plummer and Sheyanna Seaney spoke with the Board about a variety of art projects high school students have worked on over the past year. Student artwork was on display.

Board members heard that State Representative-Elect Chris Miller stopped by the district the day of the meeting. Miller is visiting all of the area school districts he'll represent to introduce himself.

The Cumberland Board passed the fiscal year tax levy; abated the bond and interest levy by $50,000; and renewed Workers Compensation insurance through Employers Insurance Group.
