KC Announces Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest Winners

Effingham Knights of Columbus Council #665 has announced the winners of its 12th Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest.

More than 300 posters were submitted this year.

The Council has a contest for children four and younger; the first place winners of the other age groups will be submitted for judging at the Diocesan and State levels in January. The Council winners were presented their awards at a ceremony earlier this month.

Here are the winners:

4 and Younger

1st--Emery Zerrusen of Sacred Heart

2nd--Lucas Beck of St. Anthony

3rd--Brooklyn Haynes of St. Anthony

5 to 7

1st--Rory Gebben of Sacred Heart

2nd--Selma Pulsfort of St. Anthony

3rd--Reed Schumacher of St. Anthony

8 to 10

1st--Isaac Fallert of St. Anthony

2nd--Anna Isabella Keller of Sacred Heart

3rd--Evie Sayne of Sacred Heart

11 to 14

1st--Gracie Passalacqua of St. Anthony

2nd--Emma Helmink of Sacred Heart

3rd--Gracie Haarman of Sacred Heart

Special recognition was given a poster submitted by Grace Walker. The judges felt the poster didn't fit the Keep Christ in Christmas criteria, but also felt it needed to be recognized. The Council is going to frame the poster and display it in the Council chambers.
