Anyone interested in being a candidate for the Effingham Park District Board of Commissioners may pick up an election packet at the Park District office anytime between 8am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

Two six-year terms will begin in May of 2019. Dennis Carie and Chris Huelsbusch currently hold those positions on the board.

Candidates must be residents of the Effingham Park District. Election packet information must be filed at the Park District office during regular office hours between Monday, December 10 and Monday, December 17.

Candidates must file a loyalty oath statement...statement of candidacy...signatures and addresses of at least 25 Park District residents...statement of economic interest to be obtained from and returned to the County Clerk's office. A receipt verifying this filing must be included in the packet filed at the Park District office.

Prospective candidates must file all of the four items we mentioned with the Effingham Park District office at 1906 South 4th Street before the deadline in order to be eligible. The two positions will be voted on at the April 2, 2019 election.
