A trucker from Cape Girardeau, Missouri was injured early Monday morning in a crash near Neoga.

State police say a rig driven by 51-year-old Mickey Yount was northbound on I-57 about two miles north of Neoga when the crash occurred at 4:35am. Police say Yount told them a truck veered over into his lane. To avoid the truck, Yount said he took his semi into the median. Yount then lost control of the rig, which veered back across the roadway into the right ditch where it came to rest.

Yount was injured and was taken to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County. No citations were issued. Neoga firefighters assisted state police at the scene.
