Busy Meeting for St. Elmo School Board

Thursday was a busy meeting night for the St. Elmo Board of Education.

The Board addressed a number of personnel items, as well as matters related to the approaching start of the school year. Board members also approved the St. Elmo Education Association negotiated contract.

The Bord adopted dual credit fees for courses good for district credit and community college credit. An athletic trainer agreement was approved with HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. Bids were awarded for various commodities, and the elementary student handbook was approved.

The Board accepted a letter of resignation from paraprofessional Pam Parrish retroactive to June 28, and approved a leave of absence for Abby Fryer as well as her resignation as assistant 5th and 6th grade basketball coach. The Board approved a leave of absence for Erica Barker, and hired Kathryn Niemeier as high school Agriculture teacher for the coming year.

Board members accepted Amy Schimmelpfenning's resignation as high school Special Education teacher retroactive to July 18, and approved employment of Dana Pasley as high school softball coach and junior high school softball coach for the coming school year.

Gabi Frailey was approved as assistant high school volleyball coach for the coming year, and Natasha Warner and Christy Uptmor were approved as paraprofessionals at the elementary school for the coming year.
