Two-Vehicle Collision Near Teutopolis Friday

Two vehicles collided southeast of Teutopolis Friday afternoon, resulting in injuries to both drivers.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reported the crash occurred at 3:25pm at the intersection of 1400th Avenue and 1950th Street. A car driven by 40-year-old Amanda Maag of Effingham attempted to enter a private drive and crossed into the path of a car driven by 49-year-old Stephen Gillet of Wheeler.

Maag and Gillet were both injured and were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Maag was cited for improper lane usage.
