Effingham City Police Report on Three Accidents

Saturday June 9, at 10:38 P.M. at the intersection of Banker and Eiche a vehicle driven by Douglas L. Hites, 67, Edgewood, turned into the path of and was struck by a vehicle driven by Dustin B. Strader, 37, Toledo.

A passenger in Strader’s vehicle, Nikki Strader, 45, Toledo, sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment.    

Hites was ticketed for Failure to Yield.

Friday June 8, at 10:14 P.M. at the intersection of Fayette and Henrietta a vehicle driven by Xavier N. Jordan, 16, Watson, turned into the path of and collided with a motorcycle operated by Barry L. Parnell, 64, Effingham.    

Parnell sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to HSHSSt. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment.  

Jordan was ticketed for Failure to Yield.

On Sunday June 3, at 12:46 P.M. a vehicle driven by James T. Hutchison, 27, of Effingham, backed into pedestrian, Danny L. Tolliver, 18, of Beecher City at 1714 S. Banker. 

Tolliver sustained injuries and was transported by private vehicle to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment.

No citations were issued.
