The Effingham Noon Rotary Club continued a long tradition March 21 in hosting its annual Rural/Urban Luncheon.

Area farmers and other members of the agricultural community joined Rotarians at the event. The guest speaker, Ed Dunn of Strategic Farm Management in Champaign, discussed crop insurance needs.

Rotarians Norbert Soltwedel and Julie Stephens co-chair the luncheon.

The Rotary weekly student guest was Jacob Zimmerman, son of Ed Zimmerman and Rosalie Nasser and a senior at St. Anthony High School.

The meeting was also the occasion for Rotarians Tom Henderson and John Kingery to receive their Paul Harris Fellow pins marking $1,000 in contributions to the Rotary Foundation.
