The case of a Teutopolis resident has been concluded.

William L. Beck was charged in 2015 in Madison County with a felony count of aggravated domestic battery. Beck was charged with choking a young woman during an incident in Madison County. The woman at the time was a student at SIU Edwardsville.

In Madison County Circuit Court on May 16, Beck pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of domestic battery. Beck was placed on 24 months probation and ordered to pay restitution, and must complete a domestic violence evaluation. The aggravated domestic battery was dismissed as part of the plea.
