Unit 40 Board Approves Several Hirings

The Effingham Unit 40 Board of Education Monday voted to hire retiring Assistant Superintendent Rem Woodruff as varsity boys basketball coach. A story on Woodruff is on the basketball page of the website.

The Board also hired Blake Doehring to serve as assistant coach, but also to teach PE, drivers education and health at the high school. Nicole Doehring was hired as a special education teacher at the junior high school.

Also Monday, the Board hired Jaclyn Lindberg to teach Art at the high school, Nicole Hetzel as a special education teacher at the high school, and Shannen Helm as a fifth grade teacher at Central Grade School.

The Board transferred Andrea Kinder to teach fourth grade at Central and Kathryn Roepke to teach kindergarten at the Early Learning Center.

The Board also accepted Nola Schultz's resignation as a special education teacher at the ELC.
