Investigation Continues Into Incident at Altamont Park

An investigation continues into an incident where an Altamont businessman was arrested. 

The incident occurred at Gilbert Park in Altamont on May 6. The businessman, 71-year-old Lynn Kull of Altamont, is alleged to have committed a domestic battery on a minor who lives in Kull's home. A state trooper who approached the scene was allegedly shoved by Kull, and Kull was taken into custody on counts of domestic battery and aggravated battery to a peace officer.

Charges are yet to be filed in the case. Effingham County State's Attorney Bryan Kibler said Kull is dealing with major medical difficulties, so the investigation is yet to be completed. Kibler said a plan is in place to protect the minor.
