Two Injured in Early Morning Christmas Crash

At 1:08am Sunday morning a truck driven by Christopher D. Dohm, 26, and a passenger Kelli S. Wilson, also 26, was westbound on the Falmouth Road approximately ½ - mile west of County Road 1100E west of the Embarras River Bridge, 5-miles northeast of Newton in Jasper County. 
 
State Police report that Dhom was driving too fast, lost control and left the roadway to the left where he hit a ditch embankment to the left. After leaving the roadway, they then traveled approximately 93- feet to the south west before overturning and coming to rest on its driver side,
facing west.
 
Both were injured and taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment of their injuries.
 
Dohm was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Failure to Wear a Safety Belt, and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.
