Witches overran the streets of Teutopolis October 21 for the 1st Annual Teutopolis Witches Walk.

Nearly 400 magical witches took part in the evening’s festivities to benefit Community Support Systems. They roamed the streets between The Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Hall, The Brickbat Bar & Grill, Ping’s Tavern and Kenter’s Tavern to take part in fun and spooktacular challenges at each location. Each of these establishments also donated to the cause. The evening ended at the KC Hall where there were snacks, a haunted picture booth and raffles.

Best Group Costume was won by Hocus Pocus – Jodi Tardy, Christy Beccue and Jennifer Arnold. Best Dressed Witch was won by Mary Beth Sandschafer. Best decorated Hat was won by Karen Flach.

The Witches Walk was organized by a group of ladies including Jodie Pruemer, Roxy Apke, Diana Althoff, Ruth Dust, Wanda Ruholl, Jill Buhnerkempe, Kelly Schmidt, Meagan Probst, Angie Bloemer, Lori Lohman, Katie Waldhoff and Jayne Schmidt with Rick & Jean Cornell.
