Coles County police say, in the past month, they've had several reports of counterfeit money being passed or attempts made to pass the funny money.

Authorities warn people to watch for the fake bills and inspect all of them before accepting them from customers. The reports concern $50 and $100 bills.

The $100 bills have "For Motion Picture Use" on them in three locations and the serial number "PR10008679P", while the $50s appear more realistic and have the following serial numbers: JG68375471A, JK21536354A and MF14226571A.

Anyone with information is asked to phone Coles County Crimestoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
