Edgewood Man Arrested in Mattoon on Counts of Patronizing a Prostitute, Other Charges

An Edgewood man has been arrested on a count of patronizing a prostitute in Mattoon and other charges.

Mattoon city police say 44-year-old Brian Rowark, Sr. was arrested at 1:29am Thursday as a result of the arrest of a Mattoon woman on a prostitution count.

29-year-old Kimberly Gadeberg was arrested on counts of prostitution, obstructing a peace officer, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a peace officer. Mattoon police say Gadeberg was arrested at 1:16am in the 300 block of South 13th Street in Mattoon. It's alleged that Gadeberg was engaged in prostitution, that she lied to police about her identity, that she was found to be in possession of heroin and needles, and that she struggled with the arresting officer.

Rowark was arrested on counts of patronizing a prostitute, as well as aggravated battery to a peace officer, and resisting a peace officer. It's alleged Rowark patronized a prostitute, that he punched a police officer, and that he struggled and fought with several police officers who arrived to assist.

Both Gadeberg and Rowark were taken to Coles County Jail in Charleston.
