Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday evening in Fayette County.
The crash happened at 6:13pm on US 40, two miles east of Brownstown. State police say a pickup truck driven by 27-year-old Trevor Willms of Brownstown slowed for a combine turning off the highway in front of him. A following driver, 17-year-old Abby Klitzing of Altamont, could not stop in time and rear-ended the Willms vehicle.
Willms was injured and was taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment. A passenger in Klitzing's vehicle, four-year-old Khloe Enlow of Brownstown, was injured and was treated on scene.
Klitzing was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
