Deer Runs Into Cycle on Interstate Near Montrose

An Indianapolis man was injured early Friday morning when a deer ran into his motorcycle.

The incident happened at 12:52am on I-70 westbound, a mile west of the Montrose interchange. Illinois State Police report a cycle operated by Bradley Wade Justice was traveling on the interstate when a deer moved onto the roadway and struck the left side of the cycle.

Justice was injured in the incident and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

No citations were issued.
