Altamont Support Staff Approves Contract

The Altamont Educational Support Staff Association has ratified a three-year contract agreement with the Altamont Board of Education.

The vote was taken Wednesday afternoon. 

It's the first-ever contract for Altamont support staff personnel, and comes following almost two years of negotiations.

Altamont Superintendent Jeff Fritchtnitch said after tentative agreement was reached on Monday night that the agreement involves 5.6% new money including insurance coverage.

The Altamont school board still needs to vote on the contract for it to be finalized.
