A conference call was held Friday morning concerning the resentencing of Clifford Baker in Fayette County, but no decision was reached on a date for the proceeding.

Fayette County State's Attorney Josh Morrisson said the defense has asked for more time before being ready to proceed. Another conference call was scheduled for April 13 when the matter will be revisited.

Baker, who was 15 at the time he was charged with the murders of 60-year-old Mike Mahon and 53-year-old Debra Tish at their home in Loogootee in 2010, was convicted the following year and was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole. Since then, though, the US Supreme Court ruled that a sentence of life in prison without parole for anyone under age 18 is unconstitutional.

Morrisson said the judge indicated he would likely set a resentencing hearing date following the April conference call.
