Six Vehicle Crash Occurs East of Vandalia

Illinois State Police responded to a personal injury crash that occurred on I-70 at mile post 67, east of Vandalia Sunday at 3:19 p.m.

The crash involved six vehicles. Jeromy Taylor, 26, of St. Genevieve, Mo. topped the hill westbound on I-70 and struck a second vehicle and then struck the remaining vehicles on the driver's sides. Those vehicles were all stopped in a construction zone.

Some of those in the vehicles were taken in for treatment. Taylor was ticketed for failiure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
