St. Anthony Scholastic Bowl Team Goes 1-2 at State

(ST. ANTHONY COACHES AND SQUAD MEMBERS FOLLOWING THEIR REGIONAL VICTORY)

The Scholastic Bowl squad from St. Anthony Grade School finished with a 1-2 record at the State Tournament Friday.

The team lost to Normal Metcalf 255-130 and lost to Champaign Next Generation 255-145, but then defeated Elmwood 185-135.

The squad won their regional at Sacred Heart School last week, and then won their sectional held at St. Anthony on Monday night.

Squad members are Alli Day, Zach Dust, Alex Erickson, Aidan Steineman, Makenna Thomas, Liz Day, Cailin Gilpin, Michael Kaldas, Tom Unkraut, Jared Hoene, Luke Rudolphi and Jasmine Meyer.

Coaches of the squad are Jan Cunningham and Roberta Meyer.
