911 addressing for Fayette County is moving forward.
Fayette County E-911 Coordinator Kevin Jenne Tuesday said all residents of the county with rural routes will be receiving their new 911 address over the course of the next year. Jenne said the new addresses are not official until residents receive an official letter from the Fayette County ETSB signed by the coordinator. Residents should continue to use their old address until they receive the official letter.
All questions or concerns about the 911 addressing in Fayette County should be made through the E-911 office. Jenne said he plans to be in his office each Monday from 9am to 1pm. His office is located at the Vandalia Public Safety Building at 221 South 5th in Vandalia. Residents may wish to phone 618-731-3911 to make an appointment for other times. You may also e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or get questions answered.
