Farm Implement Strikes Pickup Truck

Two people were injured in a crash involving a farm implement Thursday in Fayette County.

State police say the crash occurred on Illinois 185 shortly after 1pm. A tractor driven by 63-year-old Michael Schwarm of Farina was pulling a cultivator. The cultivator crossed the centerline and struck a pickup truck driven by 36-year-old Edward Foutch of Milan, Tennessee.

Foutch was injured as was his passenger, 36-year-old Thomas Knott of Milan, Tennessee. Both Foutch and Knott were taken to Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia for treatment.

Schwarm was cited for improper lane usage.
