Two horses attempted to throw their riders at the end of Sunday's parade at the Effingham County Fair.

Bob Henry was a prize winner; as he was trying to rein in his horse and wait to receive his prize, the horse bucked and threw him and the small child riding on the horse with him from the horse.  The horse went down, as well.

Henry and the girl both escaped injury, as did the horse.

While other horsemen were waiting in front of the grandstand for that incident to be ended, a horse ridden by Angie Coleman reared up and fell over backwards on top of Coleman.

Coleman forearm was fractured.  She was taken to Carle Hospital in Urbana for treatment.
