Death Due to Natural Causes

The death of an Effingham woman was ruled due to natural causes.

A 911 call shortly before 1pm Monday was made in response to an unresponsive female at 12 Lakewood Manor Drive.  EMS and Effingham City Police were dispatched to the residence.  EMS found a woman identified as 53-year-old Cathy L. White.  Effingham County Coroner Duane Guffey was called to the scene and pronounced White dead at 1:30pm.

The incident was investigated by Effingham City Police and the Effingham County Coroner's Office.
