Promoting a Vision for Effingham County (PAVE), in partnership with Lake Land College, invites students to an exciting, hands-on Summer STEAM Camp at the Wright Family Center on Thursday, July 17th.\u00a0 This one-day event gives students a chance to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) in creative, interactive ways.\u00a0 Perfect for avoiding the “summer slump” while having fun.<\/p>\n

Two engaging sessions will be offered by grade level:<\/p>\n

K\u20132nd Grade<\/strong>
\n9:00 AM \u2013 11:00 AM
\nBuild and launch your own paper rocket\u2014learn while having a blast!<\/p>\n

3rd\u20136th Grade<\/strong>
\n1:00 PM \u2013 3:00 PM
\nDesign and build an air-powered propeller car\u2014where engineering meets excitement!<\/p>\n

\u201cSTEAM programs offer more than just an interactive experience, they help students stay mentally active and avoid summer learning loss,\u201d said Courtney Yockey, spokesperson for PAVE.\u00a0 \u201cThese hands-on camps are designed to inspire creativity, introduce real-world problem-solving, and promote teamwork.\u201d<\/p>\n

This STEAM Camp is open to all area children entering grades K\u20136 and is free to attend, but registration is required.\u00a0 Space is limited and early registration is strongly encouraged.\u00a0 The deadline to register is July 16th.<\/p>\n
