Knierim, 56, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025 at his home.<\/p>\n<p>A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Little Prairie Cemetery in Jackson Township, Effingham, IL. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family.<br \/>\nIn lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Little Prairie Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.<\/p>\n<p>Johnnie was born on October 10, 1968, in Effingham, IL, the son of Gerald E. and Laura B. (Wheeler) Knierim. Johnnie was a caretaker for his dad as well as the groundskeeper for Little Prairie Cemetery. He enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and watching wrestling on TV.<\/p>\n<p>Johnnie is survived by his father, Gerald E. Knierim; brother, Kevin R. (Tanya) Knierim; nieces and nephews, Kaleb, Kaitlyn, Lucian, and Karissa; and great-nephews, Jaxon and Gentry.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Johnnie L.
