PARIS — Effingham St. Anthony finished second at the Paris Lady Tiger Track Meet Monday.<\/p>\n

Winning the meet was Olney with 75 points followed by St. Anthony 65, Mattoon 48, Newton 47, Paris 31 and Cisne 3.<\/p>\n

Reese Hoene was a winner in three events, taking the 200 in 27.0 seconds and the 400 in 1:01.8 minutes.\u00a0 Hoene claimed the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 4 inches. She also was second in the 100 in 13.2 seconds.<\/p>\n

Aubrey Denning was also a two-event winner. Denning claimed the 800 in 2:22.6 minutes and won the 1600 in 5:31.5 minutes.<\/p>\n

Madelyn Gilmore placed second in the discus with a throw of 94-8 while teammate Madilyn Haarmann was third at 88-7.<\/p>\n

Mary Scheidemantel finished second in the high jump at 4 ft. 10 inches.<\/p>\n

Newton’s Karasyn Martin won the pole vault at 11 feet, 6 inches while St. Anthony’s Nora Trupiano was second at 8-6.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs’ Liv Hoene finished second in the 100 hurdles in 16.5 seconds and second in the 300 hurdles in 51.8.<\/p>\n
