He is Landon Zurliene from Fairfield. Zurliene\u00a0 is a senior at McKendree University where he played basketball and is completing his student teaching in Belleville and majored in Physical Education. He also was a member of the SI Bears AAU Organization for seven years based out of Carterville.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He will become one of, if not the youngest coach in the area and has also been hired to be the South Central Middle School Athletic Director as well as high school PE teacher. He takes over for Blake Doehring.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Zurliene says his plans are to hit the ground running, and will probably put together a youth basketball camp this summer, as well as the summer contact days that they will get with the high school players.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The South Central High School Board of Education this week hired its sixth head boy\u2019s basketball coach in the program\u2019s history.
