Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, is assisting the family with arrangements.<br \/>\nErnest C. Tomlinson was born on Wednesday, June 25, 1941 in Peoria to Asa and Georgia (McFarland) Tomlinson. He married Jaunita Myers and she preceded him in death on December 18, 2021. He was employed as a janitor at TA Travel Center, Effingham.<br \/>\nHe is survived by; his son, Randy Tomlinson, Beecher City; stepdaughters, Penny Rector, Florida and Linda Hubbartt, Windsor; brothers, Robert \u2018Bob\u2019 Tomlinson, Lowpoint, IL, Terry Tomlinson and Jerry Tomlinson; sister, Narda Tomlinson, CA; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.<br \/>\nIn addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by; his brothers, Charles Tomlinson, John \u2018Jack\u2019 Tomlinson and Donald \u2018Doc\u2019 Tomlinson.<br \/>\nOnline condolences may be expressed at www.giesekingfh.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ernest Tomlinson, 85, of rural Beecher City, died at 6:47 p.m., Sunday, October 25, 2026 at his home.
