Crain Funeral Home, Newton is assisting with the arrangements.<br \/>\nMarjorie was born on December 20, 1937, in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Daniel C. and Genelle O\u2019Dell (Hunt) Downey. On June 26, 1955, Marjorie married Larry G. McFarland. He preceded her in death on September 29, 2004.<br \/>\nHaving retired from Hewlett Packard, Marjorie spent her career working in the computer technology industry. Marjorie was an animal lover. She adored her house pets and was especially fond of birds. She loved bird watching and learning about the birds she saw.<br \/>\nMarjorie is survived by her many cousins and dear friend, Nancy (David) Schuetter of Newton.<br \/>\nHer parents, Dan and Genelle Downey, husband Larry McFarland and brother, Gary R.
