JACKSONVILLE — Several area track athletes competed at the Central Illinois High Performance Classic at Illinois College Saturday.<\/p>\n

Effingham St. Anthony’s Aubrey Denning was a two-event winner. She won the 800 meters with a time of 2:17.97 minutes and claimed the 1600 in 5:04.25 minutes.<\/p>\n

Cumberland’s Reid Carlen finished second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.18 seconds. Logan Gerhardt placed fourth in the 60 hurdles for the Pirates at 9.52 meters.<\/p>\n

Altamont’s Jacob Veteto claimed second place in the pole vault with a height of 4.05 meters. Hayden Bridges took third in the high jump for the Indians with a height of 1.80 meters.<\/p>\n

The 3200 relay team was fifth in 10:26.93. Team members were Landen Parker, Juan Fulk, Wyatt Wolff and Hudson Short.<\/p>\n

Altamont’s Keely Fleehart finished third in the girls high jump with a leap of 1.42 meters.<\/p>\n

The Pirates’ Logan Gerhardt claimed fourth place in the 60 hurdles in 9.52 seconds.<\/p>\n

Hannah Shoemaker of Cumberland was fourth in the 60 hurdles in 10.40 while St. Anthony’s Liv Hoene finsihed fifth in 10.42.Cent<\/p>\n
